SWIM SPAS / EXERCISE POOLS
Swim Spas provide all the relaxation and therapeutic benefits of a hot tub but also the benefits of exercise in a swimming pool.
Swim spas are usually placed above ground on a concrete bed, but can also be installed in ground like a swimming pool if required. Installing the swim spa above ground reduces the installation costs considerable, allowing easier maintenance and portability.
Compared to even indoor swimming pools, swim spas are massively more efficient in retaining the water temperature and consequent heating costs; this is achieved through a fully insulated shell and from above an insulated cover. Further the cover of the swim spa captures not only the heat but also the humidity, whereas as an indoor swimming pool requires additional ventilation to the property to avoid any condensation.
In the UK, with our climatic conditions, outdoor swimming pools are just too expensive to heat for most months of the year, but with a self contained fully insulated and electronically controlled swim spa you can maintain the water temperature at a fraction of the cost, which inevitably means that you will use it more and get more value out of your investment.
What’s more exhilarating is that swim spas are equipped with powerful water pumps providing you with a tide of water allowing you to swim as fast as you want whilst remaining in the same position in the spa, all electronically selectable controlled.
Swim spas provide so many advantages over swimming pools, less space, massively less heating costs, significant less water maintenance costs, portability if you move house, but at the same time they can provide all the enjoyment and exercise benefits of a pool.
The temperature of the water can be adjusted according to your own preferences, whether it’s cool at 22°C in the middle of summer of wonderfully hot at 38°C in freezing winter.
Swim spas are designed for year round use outdoors, designed for maximum efficiency and enjoyment.
Our most popular swim spa is just over five metres long (17 feet) and through the use of the patented Exerswim™ propulsion system, with its unique deep reciprocating water current design, providing a saving in running costs of up to seventy per cent less that many ordinary swim spas, which pump the water hard in the middle of the spa against the back wall, flowing back along the sides creating currents that flow against each other an therefore wasting energy. The reciprocating water design not only does it provide more efficiency, but also most importantly a better swimming experience with its a more smoother water flow, which is of course all controlled electronically for fully adjustability to suit your desired level of water resistance.
Swim spas combine the exercise benefits of a swimming pool but with the relaxing, therapeutic, easy maintenance and efficiency of a hot tub.
